History of IIBC x CUA’s Global Career Trek
Over the past 5 years, 700+ students have taken part in the event and 150+ alumni from 10+ countries have volunteered to host info-sessions, career panels & networking events both online and in-person. We have led students from Canada to London, U.K., Hong Kong, San Francisco, and many more adventures. Previous companies we have partnered with including Morgan Stanley, BCG, Blackstone, Google, Meta, Ares, etc. This event has also been recognized by Justin Trudeau, Doug Ford, the Consulate General of Hong Kong and a variety of other Canadian leaders.
Delegates will have the opportunity to:
- Deeply engage with top global companies through firm tours and private info sessions. Last year, we had the opportunity to deep dive into companies including Google, UBS, Alibaba, S&P, Colliers, Hong Kong Stock Exchange, KKR, and so on. This year, we will be taking our engaged firms to a new level, including firms from top finance, consulting and tech industries.
- Tour and network with highly established alumni from all Canadian universities in some of the most prestigious firms. This year, we are planning to host an alumni social in Hong Kong with ~100 Canadian alumni from all universities.
- Explore Hong Kong’s lively business dynamics, good food & sightsee!
